The NJ Roper is inspired by the Great Seal of the State of New Jersey. The angelic female figures featured on the front embroidery are Liberty and Ceres. Liberty flaunts and liberty cap, an ancient symbol of rebellion. Ceres holds a cornucopia filled with harvested produce, a symbol of abundance.
